Celtic Shell Ceremony
I have written an original shell ceremony based on an old Celtic Blessing. Family and friends can participate and bless you with the water in the shell.
Buddhist Shell Ceremony
In Tibet the conch shell is used in Buddhist rituals, both blown and as a receptacle for holy water. I have devised a beautiful ceremony using buddhist style blessings. You don't have to be buddhist to use this ritual as the principles are universal to all humankind.
The shell ceremony is also part of the Thai Buddhist wedding ceremony. The celebrant soaks the couple's hands in water and wish them good luck. The water is contained in a conch shell. I perform a ritual in your ceremony based on the Buddhist philosophies.
Butterfly Release Ceremony
According to an American Indian Legend - If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish.
So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens and be granted. We have gathered to grant this couple all our best wishes and are about to set these butterflies free in trust that all these wishes will be granted. Butterflies are then released on signing of the certificate or when the couple are announced as life partners.
